The night vision devices tend to visualize the hidden object with a small amount of light, even in the dark situation but, the infrared spotlights use a bulk beam of light emission, to visualize the hidden object in the dark.

The infrared spotlight helps to project the direct narrow intense beam of light for tracing the hidden object or the person whereas, the night vision uses the infrared lighting for the object illumination.

Most of the infrared spotlights are used to project the bright light over the performance space whereas the night vision devices used in wide variety of applications such as military defense, navigation, hunting, air crafts, ships, security and surveillance purposes.
